Chili Cheese Burger

I’m not a big soup fan, but I love chili. Chili is a winner in my book because it’s thick, hardy and preferably spicy. When I saw the idea of a Chili Cheese Burger I knew I had to give it a try.

I knew the Chili Cheese Burger would be good, but I had no idea it’d be one of my favorites. The tomato, chili spices, and cheese all go together amazingly well as a burger. It’s really simple to make too, so you’ve gotta give this burger a try.

Making The Chili

To make this a true chili cheese burger, we’re going to make a chili topping. This helps incorporate the chili spices & tomato into the burger. It’s a really simple version of chili that only takes a few minutes to make.

All it takes is frying up some onions and then adding a bit of extra ground beef, spices, and tomato. This chili adds extra flavor and texture to the burger.

Creating the Chili Cheese Burger

To make the burger we’ll follow the normal procedure, but spice the meat up just a bit with some chili powder & garlic powder. After cooking on one side and flipping we’ll add in our chili & cover in cheese.

It’s helpful to have a lid or another pan to set on top at this point to get the cheese to melt faster. Once it does you’ll see how amazing this burger is looking!

Topping It Off

Slide that burger on a bun and you’re just about ready to go. I like to add some extra spice to my chili so I recommend adding some sliced jalapeños to the top. I’m also adding some green onions for a bit more flavor. Plus it just makes this amazing burger look even better.

Enjoy this incredible burger!

This looks and sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try this. I actually want to grill my burgers though. I figure it can’t hurt to grill the patties, then flop them on a baking sheet, top it with the warmed chili, the cheese, and stick it under the broiler real quick to melt the cheese. I know, I’m adding steps but we just got a brand new Weber! LOL Love this! Going on my menu for next week!
